We also have a policy to own most of our own plant and equipment as this makes us more flexible and therefore able to respond to new opportunities, be innovative, and provide a consistent, scalable service.
Our business began in Auckland in 1989 as a general rubbish company called Greenfingers.
As the business grew we began to focus more on recycling, believing there was a distinct need and it was an area could make a real difference in.
After merging with three other green waste companies, the business began to grow rapidly, becoming the largest green waste company in New Zealand with more than 60,000 customers in the upper North Island.
As we became more involved in total waste solutions, we decided to separate our council ‘total waste’ operations from our private green waste service. We now outsource successfully for a number of councils throughout New Zealand while maintaining highly efficient private household and business services.
